Helle Munk Ravnborg is a Senior researcher and her research focusses on land and water governance and how it is shaped by and contributes to shape patterns of inequality and conflict.
Current research
She currently coordinates a multi-partner research programme on Agricultural Investors as Development Agents (2016-2022) focusing on the development outcomes in terms of employment, economic dynamic effects, and land tenure and water security of Danish agricultural investments in Tanzania and Uganda. She has participated in research on territorial development coordinated by the Latin American Center for Rural Development (Rimisp) (2008-2016), undertaking research e.g. on water governance reform in Nicaragua and Ecuador, and prior to that (2007-2011), she coordinated the Competing for Water research programme examining conflict and cooperation in local water governance in Bolivia, Nicaragua, Mali, Zambia and Vietnam.
