Research Council of Norway reappoints Helle Munk Ravnborg as Chair of Programme Board

The Programme Board for the Latin America research programme funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been re-appointed by the Norwegian Research Council and will serve until June 30, 2018. Helle Munk Ravnborg who served as a member in the board from 2008 to 2011 and as the chair from 2012 to 2015, has been re-appointed as the chair of the board.

In 2007, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to launch an ambitious strategic priority programme on Latin America. The aim of the programme is to stimulate research and enhance knowledge and competence in Norway on Latin America.

To achieve this goal, the Research Council of Norway established a 10-year research programme on Latin America in 2008 with a yearly budget of 15-20 million Norwegian Kroner.
