Progress & challenges for the Nicaraguan water governance reform

Research results presented and discussed with Nicaraguan policy makers

At the conference held at UNAN, Managua, Helle Munk Ravnborg, DIIS, and Tomás Rodriguez, IXMATI, presented the results of the research project examining the political economy of the implementation of water governance reform in Nicaragua and its consequences for territorial inequality in the context of climate change.

The conference was held on February 5, 2016 and organised by INIES (UNAN) and IXMATI, and counted the presence of the National Water Authority among others. The research was conducted as part of the programme "Territorial Cohesion for Development" coordinated by Rimisp-Latin American Center for Rural Development, under a grant from IDRC, Canada.
