Non-proliferation and disarmament
Nuclear, biological and chemical weapons can cause mass-destruction at a far greater scale than conventional weapons, followed by longstanding environmental effects. Governance of weapons of mass destruction and the long-term efforts to curb the proliferation of these weapons remain important issues.
