The Politics of Memory in Europe
Workshop in Network on European Memory of Mass Atrocities, DIIS on October 24 – 25, 2013
Network on European Memory of Mass Atrocities, NEMMA, will have its 5th and final workshop for international experts on DIIS on October 24 - 25. The theme of the workshop is the politics of memory in Europe and will focus on some of the recent tendencies in the political field of remembrance. For instance, there will be presentations on the politics of memory in Turkey, in the Baltic countries and in Russia. The workshop is hosted by Senior Researcher Cecilie Felicia Stokholm Banke, DIIS and PhD-candidate Anne Wæhrens, DIIS/KU and organized in cooperation with Peter Bugge and Christian Axboe Nielsen, University of Aarhus.
