The future of Holocaust memorialisation
In commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Hungarian Holocaust, the Central European University together with the Tom Lantos Institute and the University of Victoria, Canada organized a conference on “The Future of Holocaust Memorialisation” at CEU in Budapest on June 10.
A group of international speakers and an audience of more than 100 participants discussed the relevance of Holocaust Memorialization and Education in the light of contemporary challenges with raising antisemitism and other forms of group focused enmity.
Senior Researcher and Head of Danish Delegation to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance, IHRA, Cecilie Felicia Stokholm Banke spoke about the Danish case and what we more generally can learn from a country where Holocaust remembrance was only recently introduced.
