Wikileaks has finally settled the controversy over who attacked whom first in the Russo-Georgian war of August 2008 sources pointing to a miscalculation by the Georgian leadership. The subsequent Russo-American reset that still prevails implied renewed cooperation between the two great powers. According to the theoretical literature on the "power of the weak", such great power cooperation is dangerous to weaker states. Does this apply also to current Georgia or other states bordering Russia?
