Fabrizio Tassinari, Senior Researcher and Head of Foreign Policy and EU Studies is the author of Why Europe Fears Its Neighbors. The book, published by Praeger, is an analysis of the relations between the EU and its neighboring countries and regions from a security perspective.

The book addresses the cases of the Western Balkans, Turkey, the westernmost former-Soviet republics, Russia, and the Mediterranean area. One further chapter is devoted to transatlantic relations.
