In Finland: Sámi Rights play central role in Truth and Reconciliation Efforts

A new bill regulating voters in the Sámi Parliament elections creates political turmoil in Finland. The definition of Sámi is the main point of conflict. The controversy has divided the government coalition and attracted criticism from UN human rights monitoring bodies on the rights of indigenous peoples.
