Understanding Power in International Society

Stefano Guzzini was invited to deliver a plenary address at the XXIII Conference of ENERI, the 'National Congress of Students of International Relations', which was held at Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil from 27 to 30 April. Organised by FENERI, the National Association of Students of International Relations in Brazil, these annual conferences bring together political and academic practitioners for the exchange of ideas on the development of international politics and the ways to observe it. Guzzini's address which closed the Saturday was on the understanding of power in international society, and the increasing complexity for establishing conventions of rank and power - and the power politics for doing so.
