The future of the West after the crisis

Senior Researcher Fabrizio Tassinari is now affiliated as Senior non-Resident Fellow with the German Marshall Fund of the United States. Tassinari continues in his current capacities at DIIS and joins GMF Berlin office as a part of his stay in the city as one of Germany’s Alexander von Humboldt fellows.

The appointment was announced in Washington on July 2nd. In a press release, GMF President Craig Kennedy said: “Fabrizio Tassinari’s expertise is a valuable addition to the organization. His insight into EU institutions and the future of the West are of great importance as the EU searches for a solution to the financial crisis.”

DIIS’ Director Nanna Hvidt says: “This is a great recognition of Fabrizio’s expertise. On behalf of DIIS I am very proud of the nomination. I look forward to this further strengthening of the cooperation between the GMF and DIIS.”

The German Marshall Fund of the United States is a nonpartisan American public policy institution dedicated to promoting greater cooperation and understanding between the North America and Europe. Founded in 1972 through a gift from Germany as a permanent memorial to the Marshall Plan assistance, GMF maintains a strong presence on both sides of the Atlantic.
