Danish Foreign Policy Review 2018 now available

DIIS introduces new format for popular publication

This year DIIS introduces a sharper, more targeted version of our yearbook on Danish foreign policy. The yearbook has been a fixture for forty plus years and viewed as an ”institutionalized benchmark in Danish foreign policy”(Økonomi og Politik 2012, 85:1, 58-67).

The yearbook is now published as 'Danish Foreign Policy Review' and will present four peer-reviewed research articles analysing different aspects of Danish foreign policy in the previous year.

The research articles in the 1028 volume:

  • presents a number of proposals that could alleviate the tension in the Baltic Sea area
  • argue that Danish development cooperation are governed by short-term domestic political concerns
  • outlines recommendations as to how Denmark should navigate in the Arctic organisational wilderness
  • presents the theories or theoretical approaches used in studies of post-Cold War Danish foreign policy.

In addition to the research articles Danish Foreign Policy Review 2018 presents articles summarizing the year from the ministers of Defence and Foreign Affairs.

Danish Foreign Policy Review 2018 is edited by director Kristian Fischer and senior researcher, Dr.scient.pol. Hans Mouritzen.

DIIS celebrates the publication at a reception at 15:45 on 30 August after the seminar on the upcoming Swedish election.
