The fight against terrorism is a main priority of Denmark as a member of the UN Security Council. Denmark will take over the chairmanship of the UN Security Council Counter Terrorism Committee (CTC) on 1 April 2005. An introductory speech will be given by Ambassador Marie-Louise Overvad, Political Director, Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Speakers: Lord (David) Hannay is a member of the UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel on Threats, Challenges and Change. He has served as Britain’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the European Community (EC), and as the United Kingdom Special Envoy to Cyprus.
