Lighthouse EuropeDIIS launches a series of debates on the EU's global roleDIIS, in cooperation with the daily Politiken and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs launches Lighthouse Europe, a series of public debates on issues of strategic relevance for the foreign policy of the EU and of its member states. The series aims to attract senior speakers from different countries and background in order to elicit a discussion spanning broadly both in geographical and thematic terms. The series will kick off formally on Thursday 17th of June with a discussion featuring Dominique Moïsi, founder of the French Institute of International Relations, entitled Culture of Fear: Challenging Europe’s Global Role. The discussion follows Prof. Moïsi’s recent book The Geopolitics of Emotion: How Fear, Humiliation and Hope are Reshaping the World and will take place at Politiken’s conference hall.
