Staff Rotation: New Head of the Research Unit Defence & Security at DIISKarsten Jakob Møller appointed to coordinate Defence & Security Policy Studies ResearchSince September 1st 2009 Karsten Jakob Møller, Senior Analyst, is the new Head of the Defence & Security Policy Studies Research unit at DIIS. Karsten J. Møller’s current research is concentrated primarily on Russia, Ukraine and the Post-Soviet space. In 2008 he published the book: “Fra kaos til Putin. Brudstykker af det moderne Ruslands historie” (”From Chaos to Putin. Fragment of the History of Modern Russia”). In addition he has published several articles on Russian foreign and security politics and dissertations and articles on military science & theory, military ethics and military history. Karsten J. Møller is a retired Major General. Among others he has been commander of 1. Jutland Brigade and the Nordic-Polish Brigade in Bosnia (1997), Head of the NATO Department in the Ministry of Defence, Director of the Danish Defense Research Establishment, Defence Attaché in Russia and Belarus and Commandant of the Royal Danish Defence College. |
