Traditional authority in Mozambique in particular and Sub-Saharan Africa in general; post-conflict state formation, authority and citizenship; democratic decentralization and community participation; interactions between formal and informal justice enforcement institutions; community policing and internal security sector reform in Sub-Saharan Africa.
