Underwater photos
The dives of Star III near the impact point in Bylot Sound , August 1968
The photographs are in the files of the Danish Atomic Energy Commission in the Danish National Archives (Rigsarkivet). They were sent to H.H. Koch, chairman of the commission, by Carl Walske, Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Atomic Energy. The pictures of 23 August mostly show flora and fauna, apart from that only pieces of flat iron, whereas those of 24 August display a conspicuous interest for pieces of debris that with some fantasy might represent the marshal's baton. Furthermore the claw is seen recovering a bag or a dust cover. |
