Development goals after 2015?

Richard Manning discusses the usefulness of the MDGs in new DIIS Report

The Millennium Development Goals adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2000 have established global targets for development cooperation until 2015. They are being regularly monitored, and one may already now conclude that they will be achieved unevenly across the globe. In that light, it is important to assess the usefulness of the MDGs and to start discussing a possible successor to guide development cooperation after 2015.

Based on a fortnight’s stay at DIIS and subsequent support from Department for International Development, UK, Richard Manning, former chairman of OECD’s Development Assistance Committee, has drafted a report addressing these questions. In the video spot below, he explains why he took up the task of writing the report.
