Dietrich Jung guest lecturer at the University of PretoriaHe is presenting two lectures and a faculty seminar at the Department of SociologyOn the occasion of the University of Pretoria celebrating its centenary, the Department of Sociology invited Dietrich Jung to participate as a guest lecturer in its program to commemorate this milestone of South African higher education. Between April 17-22 he will teach two graduate seminars on Max Weber’s sociology of religion an a faculty seminar on his current research project - ”Orientalists, Islamists and the Global Public Sphere” - which investigates the emergence of the modern image of Islam. |
