International events almost stumble over each other and are often intricately connected. At the same time, foreign policy has a growing impact on the values on which nation states are built. In such times, there is a need to look beyond the day-to-day problems and focus on the long-term principles of foreign policy. Foreign Minister Per Stig Møller will present his visions for Danish foreign policy in the light of the multiple challenges facing us in the coming years, including the expectations of a Danish membership of the United Nations Security Council from 2005. The seminar will be held in Danish, but the speech and the following Q&A session will be translated simultaneously into English. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required by e-mail to no later than 15 September 2004 at 12.00 noon. Registrations must include name, organisation and e-mail address of the registered person(s), and DIIS must be informed by e-mail of any substitutions no later than at 12.00 noon on the day of the seminar. Please await confirmation by e-mail for participation, as a print-out of the confirmation from DIIS must be brought to the seminar as admission pass.
