A two-year study (2007-2009) The purpose of the study of ‘the Future of Development Aid’ is to increase knowledge about new tendencies and relations in development aid through research, publications, and debate. The study, which is financed by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, analyses future challenges through various activities, papers and publications in both Danish and English, hopefully responding to the interests of both development specialists and citizens. Themes, dominating the current international debate, will be taken up in different ways. The themes have to do with development aid in a narrow extent but also with the context, which is changing rapidly these years. Different themes will be analysed with the purpose of discussing how the world’s poverty in the best way can be eradicated. Moreover, the study can take up new themes and issues if needed. Besides articles and reports, a seminar series is a significant part of the study. The seminars are held approximately once a month. In addition this webpage is used as forum for debate through a weblog discussing key issues. |
