Julie Koch joins the research unit Natural Resources and Poverty

On 1 August Julie Koch joined the Natural Resources and Poverty Unit as part-time project researcher. She will work on the program 'Competing for Water: Understanding Conflict and Cooperation in Local Water Governance' and focus specifically on Bolivia. 
For the past 4½ years Julie has worked in Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, engaging mainly with issues of poverty, governance and gender particularly in Central America, Afghanistan, Nepal and Uganda. Previous employment includes junior lecturer at Roskilde University and research assistant at the Institute of Development Studies, Sussex. Julie holds a PhD from Roskilde University/Center for Development Research and university degrees from Cambridge and Sussex.
