Signe Marie Cold-Ravnkilde joins the research unit Natural Resources and Poverty



On June 1, Signe Marie Cold-Ravnkilde joined the research unit Natural Resources and Poverty as PhD student where she will work on institutional issues related to poor peoples’ access to natural resources, in particular within dryland areas. Signe’s PhD  research forms part of the Competing for Water research programme.
Her special interest is management of property and access to water and land; the different land use systems and the role of institutional and legal frameworks influencing local cooperation and conflicts over rights and access to strategic natural resources. Her geographical interest is mainly French-speaking West Africa. More specifically her PhD concentrates on the Mopti region in Mali. Signe is enrolled as a PhD student at International Development Studies, Roskilde University.
