Dr. Raúl Delgado WiseProfessor and Director of the Doctoral Program in Development Studies at the University of Zacatecas and Executive Director of the International Migration and Development NetworkRaúl Delgado Wise is author/editor of 14 books and more than 100 essays, including book chapters and refereed articles. He has been guest lecturer in Canada, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Italy, Spain and various Latin American countries. He received the annual prize for economics research “Maestro Jesús Silva Herzog” in 1993. Professor Delgado Wise is a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences, of the National System of Researchers, and of several scholarly associations in Canada, the United States, Latin America and Europe. He is the editor of the book series on “Latin America and the New World Order” for Miguel Angel Porrúa publishers and the chief editor of the Journal Migración y Desarrollo. Dr. Delgado Wise is employed as senior project researcher at the Migration Research Unit, 1st April – 30th June. He will be presenting his work at a public seminar on the development impact of remittances, June 7th at DIIS. |
