Impact study of Danida’s Private Sector ProgrammeIn the period August 24 – September 27 Steen Folke carries out the first round of fieldwork in India for an ex-post impact study of Danida’s Private Sector Development Programme, which was implemented in the period 1993-2002. The programme supported partnerships between Danish and Indian firms. During fieldwork, 23 Indian firms in and around Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Chennai will be visited plus some institutions involved in private sector development. The aim of the study is to assess the programme’s impact in terms of upgrading, income, employment, transfer of technology and skills, environmental improvements as well as the overall contribution to economic growth ands poverty reduction. |
