Danish and European foreign policyOur core research focus is on the study of foreign policy, meaning the safeguarding of general relations of a state (or the EU) to other states. Even though the study sometimes overlaps issues such as the environment, climate, or armed conflicts (see the research area on defence), the focus is always on general relations. The purpose is to study EU foreign policy; EU relations to the US, Russia, and other actors are analysed on the background of national European foreign policies. These policies, including especially Danish foreign policy, are studied in a contemporary and, if necessary, a historical perspective. The research is ordered within two closely related main categories:
