United in Diversity- book chapter by DIIS PhD researcherThe Chapter by Catharina Sørensen: Denmark, the EU and Public Opinion – Scepticism Mixed with Pro-Integrationist Sentiments’, takes a closer look on the Danes as ‘sceptic supporters’ in the EU. Danish attitudes are discussed through a discussion of how the phenomenon of euroscepticism can be defined, a number of opinion polls, and some of the dilemmas in connection with the role of public opinion in the EU. The Chapter rejects labelling Denmark as a particularly eurosceptic member state, as the picture entirely depends on which polls you look at.In: Herslund, Michael & Ramona Samson (eds.)
