DIIS and Chatham House jointly convene expert seminar on Pakistan In a collaborate effort, DIIS and Chatham House, is convening an international expert seminar on Pakistan May 8th 2012 in London. The seminar will focus on how competition between regional powers affects Pakistan’s internal conflicts and, in turn, how these regional power-plays affect Pakistan’s stability. The seminar will bring together key experts including policymakers, academics and journalists to explore the challenges faced by six regions of Pakistan – FATA, Baluchistan, Pakistan-administered Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, South Punjab and urban Sindh. The keynote speech will be delivered by Pakistan’s former Foreign Secretary (2005-08), Ambassador Riaz Mohammed Khan. The seminar is by invitation - only.
